Cleaning Robotics on New Zealand Sites
White Spot Group runs autonomous floor-cleaning machines alongside our teams on New Zealand sites where the floor area justifies it: warehouses and distribution centres, shopping centres, airports and transport hubs, large campuses and hospital corridors.
The robot takes the repetitive open-floor work. Our people take the detail, the washrooms and the things a machine cannot judge. Every run is logged, so the cleaning you paid for can be evidenced rather than assumed.

Innovation That Supports Better Business Operations
Robotics does not replace cleaners at White Spot Group, and in New Zealand it legally cannot be used to. Under Part 6A of the Employment Relations Act 2000, cleaning staff transfer with the contract, so automation here is about giving an existing team better tools rather than shrinking it.
Our autonomous robotic cleaning solutions are designed to assist our teams in maintaining high standards across commercial offices, industrial facilities, healthcare environments, shopping centres and high traffic public spaces.
White Spot Group robotics solutions support smarter facility management by combining intelligent automation with experienced cleaning professionals, helping businesses maintain cleaner, safer and more efficient spaces with minimal disruption.

Cleaning Robotics in New Zealand
Do cleaning robots replace the cleaners on my site?
No. Under Part 6A of the Employment Relations Act 2000, cleaning staff have the right to transfer with the contract when it changes hands, so the team stays. A robot takes the repetitive open-floor work so the same people spend their time on detail, washrooms and high-touch surfaces.
What kind of New Zealand site suits a cleaning robot?
Large, open, hard-floor areas: warehouses and distribution centres, shopping centres, airports and transport hubs, hospital and campus corridors, and big production floors. A carpeted office tenancy or a tight back-of-house area is usually better cleaned manually, and we will say so.
Is it safe to run around staff and the public?
The machines use obstacle detection and mapped navigation, and they stop for people. They are introduced under the same site-specific hazard controls as any other equipment we bring on site, which is what the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 expects of a contractor working alongside your people.
Does robotics make the contract cheaper?
Sometimes, on the right floor plate. The saving comes from hours redirected rather than hours removed, so it shows up as more detail work for the same spend more often than a lower price. We quote the contract with and without it so you can see the difference.
What reporting do I get?
Each run records the area covered, the time taken and any interruptions. That data sits alongside our normal inspection records, so cleaning coverage can be evidenced in a board paper, a body corporate meeting or an audit.
Can I see one before committing?
Yes. We walk the site first, measure the floor areas and confirm what can realistically be automated. A demonstration on your own floor is arranged before anything is written into a scope of work.
