Environmentally preferable products have improved enormously, and for the great majority of commercial cleaning tasks floors, glass, general surfaces, washrooms they perform as well as conventional chemicals when they are dosed correctly and given the right dwell time.

The difference usually comes down to technique rather than chemistry. Most complaints about green products trace back to under-dosing or rushing the job, not the product itself. That is a training and supervision issue, and it is ours to manage.

What is achievable depends on what your council and waste operator actually collect in your area kerbside and commercial recycling differ markedly between Auckland, Wellington and the smaller centres. We use low-toxicity, environmentally preferable products wherever the site allows, dosed through controlled dilution systems so the concentration is right every time and nothing is over-poured. Safety data sheets for every chemical on your site are held on file and available to you on request, as required under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

Where a site needs a stronger product for genuine hygiene reasons a medical practice, an early learning centre, a commercial kitchen hygiene wins. We will not compromise infection control to make an environmental claim look better.

It depends on floor area, floor types, fixture counts, frequency and how your building is actually used, which is why we quote from a site walk-through rather than a phone estimate. What we will not do is give you a range and revise it upward later.

You get a task-by-task specification with frequencies, an hours breakdown and a fixed price, quoted excluding GST with GST at 15% shown separately. Consumables, waste and periodic work such as carpet extraction can sit on the same invoice or be priced separately, whichever suits your budgeting.

This is the question we get asked most in New Zealand, and it has a legal answer. Cleaning is named in Schedule 1A of the Employment Relations Act 2000, so Part 6A applies when a cleaning contract changes hands. The cleaners currently working in your building have the right to elect to transfer to us on their existing terms and conditions, with their continuity of service preserved.

We run that process for you. We request the employee information from the outgoing provider, notify the affected staff, manage the election window, and onboard anyone who transfers. You get a written timeline and a weekly update. In practice your building keeps the people who already know it, and you keep your obligations clean.
